Happy Place

My mom always told me that " your laundry room needs to be a happy place if you want your laundry to get done". I hate laundry for the life of me! I am a clean freak and dont mind doing any chores except laundry. About a month ago I walked into my bedroom and wanted to cry after seeing 5 loads of laundry sitting on the floor. That was when i went and got myself the grass fabric softener. I was so good at doing laundry and stayed on top of it for a total of a week.

Yesterday I went to hobby lobby just to get out of the house. As I was looking around I found the perfect sign. "Inquire within. Moms laundry. Help wanted" It was just what I needed. I called Matt said " honey the laundry room is getting a makeover, it does not count as money from my budget and your going to be happy even if you don't like it" He was fine with it. I bought a few little things and repainted my magnet board. I am fully confident that my laundry room is going to be my "happy place" and that I will be able to keep up on my laundry. The only thing left is to paint. We are going to attempt doing the laundry room, family room, den, master bedroom and bathroom this weekend. Wish us luck!

October Fun!

This has been such a fun week! It has been so fun getting ready for Halloween. Last Wednesday we all went to the pumpkin patch. Emmy loved picking out the pumpkins and kept saying " Tis is da punkn I want mommy" She is growing so fast and saying so many words. She is so much fun! On Thursday we had a party for the kids at playgroup and Emmy enjoyed herself. Halloween was a blast. We hung out at our house and Emmy we Trick or Treating. She loved it! I was a little upset with her costume this year. I had such high hopes for it but it did not turn out how I wanted it to. She was still adorable. I hope everyone had a GREAT Halloween!

8 people slept in my house!

Yesterday my brother-in-law and his 4 kids came to visit us and spend the night. It was so fun to see them and it is amazing how fast kids grow. Emmy had a blast with Lissa and Bethany. She was so sad when they left. The boys mostly played the X Box.I hope they had fun! Having them here made me want more kids so bad! Sometimes I feel like Emmy gets bored with me. It was so fun to see all of them playing together.

I cant believe my house slept 8 people! We had 3 in our spare bedroom. 2 in the office on the air mattress. 2 in my bed (Matt and I) and Emmy in her crib.

Emmy's New Do

Everyone who has ever met or seen my child knows she has curly curly hair. She gets this from Matt. I think it is adorable but it can get out of control. When she wakes up in the morning she can sometimes look a little homeless :) (she still is the most adorable thing in this world). Today when we were getting ready for church I decided to try and straighten it. I wish it were a little longer and a little more shaped but it is cute for a change!

I cant believe we have been married for 3 years! It has been more then I could have ever imagined! Matt you truly are the biggest blessing in my life. I dont know where I would be without you! Like Mother Like Daughter

Emmy has turned into such a girly girl. I love it!!! She loves watching princess movies and playing with babies. She loves lipgloss and purses. She loves bows and the color pink. But most of all she LOVES SHOES!!! Anytime she gets the chance she runs into my closet and tries to put my shoes on. She is growing so fast. I love the little person she is becoming.
