9 months!

Yesterday was busy busy! We started the day off by going to Gateway to play in the fountians with our playgroup. I am still not sure if Emmy liked it or not. She would scream at the top of her lungs everytime she got wet. She always loves playing with her little friends and I always enjoy the adult time at playgroup!

Later that night my friends Randi and Jen threw me a WONDERFUL shower!!! Everything was so cute! The decorations, the food, the friends... I really love the neighborhood we live in and am so glad to have so many wonderful friends. Thank you again to all who came and supported me! It means more then you know!

Just a pregnancy update. My due date is still Septemer 20th ( I know my baby ticker is about a week slow). I was having some serious pain and contractions this week and found out it was a wonderful bladder infection. He is measuring in a week small and I am still dialated to a 1 1/2. It looks like he is going to be in my tummy a little longer then I expected... Oh well I will do whatever it takes to have a healthy baby even if it means going through an extra week of hell :)jk

Last night we decided to go to Chilis. We decided to bring Emmy along. It was "family date night". We had so much fun with the exception of a 45 min wait and a 2 year old. Emmy was so good and loved every minute of last night! She could not stop eating!!! I am not kidding when I say the kid eats more then me at 8 months pregnant :) The cake was her favorite and when it was all gone she asked our server for more. When we got home she had a finger painting bath and we ended the night with the movie "The Incredibles".

Lately I have been having mixed feelings... I am so excited to welcome a new baby to the home. Every day it seems more real to me as we get things ready. Today as we were setting up the swing and bouncy seat it hit me that we are going to be a family of 4. We wont be just our family of 3 anymore. I am sure it sounds strange but I am going to miss just the 3 of us! I have loved the past 2 years of being our little family. Emmy has given me a joy I never knew I could have. I am so worried about how she is going to take things when the baby comes. I hope that she will love him and understand that we still love her. I know things are going to be hard and am not oblivious to that! I am so excited to start this new chapter of our family's lives but sad to see the one we have end! I have loved being a mom of 1! Wish me luck for being a mommy of 2.

Last night my mom and my sister-in-law Debbie threw me a shower. It was perfect! Cute decorations, adorable gifts and great friends and family!!! Thank you to everyone who came for your love and support!I can not believe he is going to be here soon. I am so ready!

8 MONTHS!

I am 8 months pregnant and so done!!! I can not wait for this little guy to get here! We are ready. His room is done, we have clothes, and i have 2 showers in the next couple of weeks. We are so excited! I had a little scare this month. I was getting contractions and feeling a lot of pressure. My Dr. checked me and said I am dilated to a 1 1/2. He almost put me on bed rest but I did not progress over the long weekend so he told me to just stop stressing (easier said then done). He still says he thinks he will be here about 3 weeks early. If that is the case I have less then 5 weeks to go. Have I mentioned I am so excited? Excited to not be pregnant, excited to sleep on my tummy, excited to get skinny... Hopefully the next month will go by fast but I am not holding my breath!

Pregnancy is really starting to get to me! I almost had to go on bed rest. I am dilated to a 1 and feel like I am going to pop any second. I have been so healthy this time and feel so much worse. I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!! I guess it does not help that I am sick with a sore throat and runny nose. I cant wait for my little guy to be here! Sorry I had to vent. It has been one of those days!!! Less then 8 weeks to go. Hopefully only 5. That's what the doctor says!

Vintage Football Baby Room

After weeks of shopping, assembling things and more shopping our little baby boy's room is done. We could not be more excited to have him join our family! I have loved every minute of decorating this room and am so glad I have a husband who is so willing to help and put up with my decorating obsession! He found the AWESOME saying to put on the wall, spend hours assembling, hanging and painting things. Thanks Hun! I cant wait for our little guy to see his "vintage football" room. Only a couple months left!

Friday was such a fun day! We set up our wonderful slip and slide, pool and sprinkler under the trampoline. Matt and Emmy always have so much fun!!! Emmy went down the slip and slide all by herself on her tummy! After a wonderful nap we went to our neighbors house for a BBQ. Emmy loved the sandbox at my neighbors house! When we got home we gave her a bath and there was almost an inch of sand in my bathtub! We ended the night with some fireworks in our street. Matt was so happy we bought some this year! Emmy liked the sparklers and the fireworks until we got chased by a few Matt set off in the wrong direction:)

Saturday,Happy 4th of July! ANOTHER FUN DAY was among us! We started the day off going to the Riverton breakfast with some friends. Emmy played with her friends and Matt at the park and had a blast. My house was a DISASTER so we left early to get it under control. When we got home we cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more. I was vacuuming and was getting contractions pretty hard so I sat down to rest. As I was sitting there Emmy came and sat next to me and said " Mommy I cant vacuum cuz I am getting confractions" It was so funny!!! She did not even know what she was talking about:) Soon it was time to go to Sugarhouse park for their last firework show. I am so sad this was their last year. I have gone there every year since I was 3. Emmy had a blast and was exhausted by the time we got home.

Today we did not go to church. The word on the street is the Swine Flu is going around in our neighborhood and we can not get it! So we decided to take a little morning adventure up to the daybreak beach. Matt built a sand castle with Emmy and I laid there like a beached whale :) When we got home we made some waffles for lunch and now we are going to end the day with a relaxing evening at home.

I am so sad this weekend is almost over. I had such a wonderful holiday and cant wait for our next long weekend together!
