Doctors Appointment

Today I had my first doctors appointment. Matt and I were so excited and nervous. I was hoping they would be able to get a heartbeat today and they did! There is something so amazing about hearing that little babies heart beating inside of you! The heartbeat was slower. Matt and the doctor are convinced it is a boy but I have my doubts. Plus I would love another girl! Everything looks normal and great. If only I could get feeling better things would be perfect! I feel like I am already showing a little but it is probably just me. Anyway we are so excited,happy and blessed!

Some News...

I am sick!!!...
I am tired...
I am grumpy...
I AM PREGNANT!!!

After 6 long months of trying and numerous emotional months it finally happened! We are so excited! Emmy loves to kiss mommy's tummy already! I have been really sick this time around and have lost some weight:) I am 8 weeks along and obviously not very good at keeping secrets. We go to the doctor a week from Monday!!! We are so happy to bring this little baby into our home! I am so excited to go through this again! There is nothing better then being a mom!

How we found out...
It was Saturday January 17th. I was throwing a baby shower for my friend Randi later that day. I didn't want to find out I wasn't pregnant that day so I took 2 tests earlier that week. They both said i was not pregnant. I was devastated! So Saturday morning I woke up and my chest was sore in a different way. I took a test right when I woke up. At first it looked like nothing was there but then I saw the faintest line. Matt was working in his office so I went in crying and said "i think i am pregnant". After hearing this numerous times I don't think Matt believed me so I took him in the bathroom and showed him the test. He said " I cant see a line Teisha" But there was one there! I called my friend Emily who lives in my neighbor hood and was throwing the shower with me later that day. She had been through this a couple months before me and her line was really light also. So at 8 am I ran to her house and showed her (and her husband sorry Scott!) my test. She said there was for sure a line there! She gave me an extra test she had and said take it after the shower. I couldn't wait! A couple hours later I took the test and if was a dark positive! I AM PREGNANT!!!

boy or girl? I have no idea. Most people seem to think it is a boy but I have no idea. I will be totally happy with either one. I love girls and would love for Emmy to have a little sister. It would also be easier to get ready for. On the other hand I know Matt would love a boy! We are totally happy with either one!!!

Birthday Party #2

Saturday we had 40+ people at our house! Emmy got so many great presents. Her favorites were the dress ups, Beauty and the Beast toy and her bike! We had so much fun but i am so happy to have the party over! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Thank you to everyone who was here and got Emmy her wonderful presents!

I cant believe my baby is 2! She has grown so fast and has changed our lives for the better in so many ways! She is such a sweet girl and is learning so much. I feel like we were bringing her home from the hospital a month ago! Thank you Emmy for bringing so much joy into our lives. I love you more then you will ever know!

Yesterday we had Emmy's 2nd birthday party with our playgroup. We just let the kids hang out, eat pizza and cake and opened presents. She loved opening her presents! She got 3 tea sets, crowns dolls, princess stuff... Thank you everyone who came and enjoyed her birthday with us. We are having our big family party on Saturday so I am sure there will be another post!

So Funny Yet So Sad :)

My husband is going to kill me for posting this! I wish I would have gotten a picture! Today Matt woke up at 4:45. He has to go to the gym in the mornings because it helps keep his diabetes controlled. He was obviously very tired because instead of taking his own pants he took mine! What's even worse is
1- They fit him!
2- He worked in them all day!
3- He looked better in them then I do!

Ha ha ha oh my gosh that is so funny! I am crying I am laughing so hard thinking about it. It was so funny because they were brown high waisted flares from when I was working in California. He looked like a 70's business man. My husband is cute.

My Big Girl

On Saturday Matt and I decided to take the front off of Emmy's crib. I have been so stressed about taking the front of her crib off and it has been for no reason! She has not gotten out once and is sleeping great. She has not even fallen off once.

Friday we were suppose to go with Lisa and Oliver out to dinner but my sister canceled last minute and we could not find a babysitter. We ended up getting pizza and renting Horton Hears a Who. It was so cute and Emmy Loved it.

Saturday we woke up and ran errands and then went to my moms house and made banana bread with my 2 sisters. Matt and I went to dinner and then just spent the night hanging out at home.

Sunday was a really good day! We woke up and went to church. When we got home we ate lunch. Emmy found this little table and chair that I had for my american girl dools and thought that she was big enough to sit and eat in it. Then we did my favorite thing on Sundays took naps. I made dinner and did laundry and we ended the night making brownies. The only problem was Matt and Emmy didn't save me any batter :( THAT'S THE BEST PART! I did get a couple cute pictures of them eating my mix and not feeling bad about it whatsoever.

This weekend was so low key and fun. It was just what I needed. My Emmy is getting so big! I cant believe she is not in a crib anymore. She will be 2 next week. My how time has flown by!

Life Is Boring!

I was so happy for the holidays to get over . I just wanted to hang out at my house and do nothing but now after a week of doing that I am going crazy! Life has just not been very eventful. My camera broke, Emmy is finally getting better and Matt is working 16 hour days! We have such boring lives :) Although starting next Saturday I have 3 parties at my house in less then a week so I am guessing I will be busy then!
