She is a little hammered after this long weekend!Friday was such a fun day! We set up our wonderful slip and slide, pool and sprinkler under the trampoline. Matt and Emmy always have so much fun!!! Emmy went down the slip and slide all by herself on her tummy! After a wonderful nap we went to our neighbors house for a BBQ. Emmy loved the sandbox at my neighbors house! When we got home we gave her a bath and there was almost an inch of sand in my bathtub! We ended the night with some fireworks in our street. Matt was so happy we bought some this year! Emmy liked the sparklers and the fireworks until we got chased by a few Matt set off in the wrong direction:)
Saturday,Happy 4th of July! ANOTHER FUN DAY was among us! We started the day off going to the Riverton breakfast with some friends. Emmy played with her friends and Matt at the park and had a blast. My house was a DISASTER so we left early to get it under control. When we got home we cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more. I was vacuuming and was getting contractions pretty hard so I sat down to rest. As I was sitting there Emmy came and sat next to me and said " Mommy I cant vacuum cuz I am getting confractions" It was so funny!!! She did not even know what she was talking about:) Soon it was time to go to Sugarhouse park for their last firework show. I am so sad this was their last year. I have gone there every year since I was 3. Emmy had a blast and was exhausted by the time we got home.
Today we did not go to church. The word on the street is the Swine Flu is going around in our neighborhood and we can not get it! So we decided to take a little morning adventure up to the daybreak beach. Matt built a sand castle with Emmy and I laid there like a beached whale :) When we got home we made some waffles for lunch and now we are going to end the day with a relaxing evening at home.
I am so sad this weekend is almost over. I had such a wonderful holiday and cant wait for our next long weekend together!

Sounds like you guys had a blast! You're lucky you got to spend it with just your little family of three... we are still spending pretty much every holiday with extended family. Ryan and I go to the Holladay Firework show which is actually really good- maybe you guys could go there next year. Sounds like you had a Happy 4th!
